John Middlebrook
John Middlebrook, from his earliest memories, was aware of mysterious sights and sounds. He experienced sensations and emotions for which he had no words. These could be wondrous or scary, exhilarating or saddening, but they belonged to him. He wanted to engage this restless presence, but it was as elusive as it was compelling. John explored the woods and fields around his home and discovered the resonant images, the blossoming and decadence, the unfolding handiwork of nature. He studied the faces and behaviors of those around him. Then he found poetry and realized there was a separate language for this friendly stranger within, the one who gave him access to his own interior, to nature, and to the lives of others. Now, through his poetry, John has found a way for his inner companion to join us all. John’s e-mail address: John Middlebrook
