Throughout her life she has worn different hats: cab driver, file clerk, janitor, security guard, doctor’s assistant, veterinary technician, college tutor, activities director, community organizer, volunteer counselor on a hotline, consultant social worker, therapist on a mobile crisis unit, writer, and photographer.
