Elliott Lyon, who lives in Evanston, Illinois, has been an avid photographer for more than fifty years. Although an amateur, he has had a number of gallery shows and is in private collections. Now retired, Elliott was an attorney, corporate founder and president, and consultant to a computer software publisher. Until recently he was strictly a film and darkroom photographer. In 2003 convenience, flexibility and creative opportunities convinced him, along with virtually everyone else, to switch to digital. Nevertheless, his photos are influenced by the darkroom techniques which he learned while in his own darkroom for over thirty years. The photos in this issue were taken in Florida this past winter.
